In the hallway of this old house, the original lime plaster had been patched with gypsum. This didn’t allow the walls to breathe properly and the beams were rotten.
We supported the roof and took out the old beams. We replaced them with new, air dried oak beams and added a new oak door. We then plastered with lime, which allows the walls to breathe.
